There is no more important anti-aging product than sunscreen, or why skin deserves protection from the sun even in early spring.

Nav svarīgāka anti-age produkta kā saules aizsargkrēms, jeb kādēļ jau agrā pavasarī āda ir pelnījusi aizsardzību no saules.

A cream for everyone!

You may think that's an exaggeration, but you'll soon learn that you should not only think about using these creams, but also finally start doing so. The spectrum of uses of SPF creams is very wide, it is not limited to a trip to the beach.

Thanks to the sun, life on Earth is possible and it has many positive properties – your mood improves, you want to spend time outdoors, socialize more. In sunny weather, the skin forms provitamin D, which is one of the processes of vitamin D synthesis. Vitamin D does not fly in the light and we cannot “store it up” either, so excessive sunbathing to get vitamin D is not purposeful. In addition, of course, the skin becomes tanned, which makes us happy emotionally and sometimes hides some unevenness in the skin.

When to use SPF creams? A dermatologist's dream – whenever you go outside in sunny weather, not just when the calendar says “summer”. We “accumulate” ultraviolet radiation and gradually it begins to result in premature skin aging, the skin loses elasticity faster, becomes drier, wrinkles, age spots, dilated capillaries and various skin neoplasms begin to form faster. To put it simply – the skin ages faster in the sun . Life should be enjoyed! And you don't have to sit at home, you just need to regularly use SPF creams to protect your skin from damage caused by UV rays. The more diligently you use SPF creams, the slower your skin will age and the longer it will retain its tone and firmness. There is no more important anti-aging product than sunscreen .

The best cream is the one you like and use!

If we talk about targeted sunbathing, then it is safest to do it in the morning hours until 11 am, or in the afternoon after 4 pm, when the intensity of the sun is lower. It is worth remembering that everyone should evaluate their stay in the sun very individually, the lighter the skin phototype, the less you should try to stay in direct sunlight. If you want brown skin, then a great alternative are self-tanning creams, which nowadays tint the skin in a natural brown tone and also wash off gradually without pronounced “spots” on the skin.

In addition to the above, you can choose a two-in-one approach, for example, a cream that simultaneously protects the skin from UV rays and stimulates the production of natural pigment in the skin. The cream comes as a “self-tinting” that protects from the sun. An ideal option for those who do not use SPF creams because they are afraid of looking too pale in the summer.

Sun and pumps

Most people who suffer from acne (pimples/pimples) notice that their skin condition improves during the summer, however, it must be said that this effect is temporary and deceptive. Ultraviolet rays have skin disinfecting properties, so the pimples are dried out and heal faster, however, after a few weeks, new pimples begin to form again. A tan serves as a natural foundation that masks the pimples, however, in the fall, when the tan fades, the real picture is revealed, the skin is blotchy, because pigmentation is more concentrated in the areas of inflammation. It is advisable to use SPF creams with any inflammatory process to protect the skin from post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is often localized deep in the skin and relatively difficult to treat.

Sun and rosacea

People suffering from couperose or rosacea should protect themselves from the sun's rays, as in the long term they promote the expansion of capillaries and worsen the course of the disease, which we see visually as a red face. The more dilated capillaries, the more sensitive the facial skin becomes over time, complaints of burning, stinging appear, and it is often difficult to find appropriate cosmetics that will not irritate the skin.

It is worth remembering that moles should be checked by a dermatologist at least once a year; examination with a dermatoscope is very quick and painless.

Sunscreen should be applied to the entire body, and the face and sun-exposed areas of the body such as the hands, neck and décolleté receive the most radiation. It is usually in these areas that the skin ages the fastest, pigment spots and various skin neoplasms appear. The most important thing, of course, is to protect yourself from sunburn.

Currently, there are a variety of products available, lotions, creams, gels, sprays, compact powders, self-tanning with SPF, with or without tint, all you have to do is choose according to your taste and preference. In addition, moisturizers, antioxidants, etc. are added to protect and care for the skin at the same time.

May your days be sunny and full of adventures with SPF cream!
