The familiar combination of letters on sunscreens – SPF (Sun Protection Factor) – is an indicator that only shows the risk of skin burning (caused by UVB rays), but it has been scientifically proven that cell damage and irreversible DNA changes are caused by UVA radiation. Skin aging is caused by the entire spectrum of sunlight – both visible and infrared radiation.
